Dr. Bilsky joined the UNC Asheville faculty as a Lecturer of Accounting in the fall of 2021. He received his D.B.A. from Wilmington University in 2021 with a research emphasis focused on behavioral economics and finance. He also holds an M.A. in Economics from the University of Tennessee and an M.B.A. with a concentration in accounting and finance from Duquesne University, and he did his undergraduate work in Economics at the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to teaching at UNC Asheville, Dr. Bilsky taught business and economics at Brevard College and Tennessee Wesleyan University, and he served as the accounting program coordinator at both Southwestern Community College and Pamlico Community College. Dr. Bilsky’s research interests are focused on the behavioral underpinnings of financial decision-making and risk management.
