Sociology Internships

Experience That Creates Change
Internships in sociology give students the opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world impact. By engaging directly with community organizations, research teams, advocacy groups, and government agencies, students apply their sociological training to address social issues, support public policy efforts, and contribute to meaningful change. These experiences not only enhance academic growth and professional development, but also deepen students’ understanding of social dynamics in practice. Sociology students can earn academic credit and fulfill their experiential learning requirement through internships in Asheville or beyond.
