Personalized, Interdisciplinary Curriculum
Designed to enable students majoring in interdisciplinary studies to examine and evaluate social issues, the law, ethics, and social policy program explores economic, political, and cultural institutions and the relationships between them. Students design their own individualized course of study by drawing on many disciplines, including but not limited to economics, political science, management, mass communication, psychology, and sociology.

The Key Center for Community Engaged Learning at UNC Asheville connects students, faculty, staff, and community partners in transformative relationships that address societal needs. From one-time projects to academic service-learning courses, we strive to nurture students and other UNC Asheville community members as they build relationships across campus, Western North Carolina, the nation, and internationally.
