About me

After completing my Ph.D. in chemistry at Purdue University in 2003, I taught physical sciences for two years at Fluvanna County High School in Virginia.  I joined the faculty at UNC Asheville in 2005 as a Lecturer of Chemistry.  I am interested in inorganic and materials synthesis, nanoscience, and chemical education.  I also have interests in science literacy, hiking, and home brewing.
