Leyda is a graduate counseling intern at Lenoir-Rhyne University, passionate about supporting college students through challenges related to identity, relationships, and mental health. Leyda’s approach to counseling is collaborative and compassionate, drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Person-Centered Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She believes therapy is a relationship built on trust and curiosity, where students can explore their stories, build coping skills, and connect more deeply with themselves. In her free time, Leyda enjoys yoga, reading, and spending time in nature.
