Finish your degree faster with our summer 2026 term options:

  • Catch up in your major or complete your core requirements.
  • Smaller class sizes create opportunities to work closely with your professors.
  • Take classes on special topics that aren’t always offered in fall and spring semesters.
  • Visiting students from other institutions can take advantage of transferable courses.

Summer 2026 Terms

  • Maymester (3 weeks): May 11 – May 29
  • Term I (4 weeks): June 1 – June 26
  • Term II (4 weeks): June 29 – July 24
  • Term III (6 weeks): June 1 – July 10
  • Term IV (8 weeks): June 1 – July 24

Note: Students are restricted to one course during Maymester and two courses during Term I or Term II.

Summer 2026 Tuition Grant

As part of UNC Asheville’s ongoing Helene Relief efforts, we are offering a Summer 2026 Tuition Grant for current degree-seeking students. This grant will cover the tuition cost of up to two summer courses at the in-state tuition rate. The grant can be used for in-person, online, or hybrid classes or for UNC Asheville faculty-led summer study abroad experiences. Courses must meet Course Program of Study (CPOS) requirements. The grant does not cover fees, housing, or other associated expenses.

Summer tuition and fees are billed per credit hour at the rates listed below.

On-Campus Housing

On-Campus Housing

On-campus housing is available to students taking summer courses. Find housing rates and move-in/move-out dates on the Housing website.

Undergraduate or graduate students who are interning in the Asheville area over the summer as part of their university studies can also apply for on-campus housing. Intern housing is not limited to UNC Asheville students—any university student may apply.
