UNC Asheville Announces Movies on the Green Summer Film Series
The University of North Carolina Asheville will host Movies on the Green, a free outdoor summer film series featuring three family-friendly movie screenings on the Reynolds Green.

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – June 11, 2026 – The University of North Carolina Asheville will host Movies on the Green, a free outdoor summer film series featuring three family-friendly movie screenings on the Reynolds Green. The series supports UNC Asheville’s commitment to strengthening relationships with the broader Asheville community by creating welcoming opportunities for public engagement on campus.

All screenings are free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to arrive at 7:30 p.m. to select seating, purchase refreshments, and enjoy lawn games and music before the movies begin at dusk, approximately 8:30 p.m. Hilltop Ice Cream will offer ice cream for purchase on-site. Outside food is welcome, but alcohol is not permitted.
Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs. Designated accessible seating areas will be available, and captioning will be enabled when available for each film.
All events are weather dependent. Any cancellations or schedule changes will be announced through UNC Asheville’s website and social media channels.
