Request Access to WordPress

UNC Asheville’s website is built in WordPress. All web editors maintaining official University sites are required to complete training covering accessibility, branding guidelines, content best practices, and SEO before receiving access. When you submit a request, we’ll schedule a training session with you. Questions or need a refresher? Email webmaster@unca.edu.

Content Strategy Support

Not sure how to structure your department’s site, what content to prioritize, or how to write for the web? The C&M team is happy to review your site and offer recommendations. Submit a web ticket and we’ll be in touch to schedule time with you.

Requesting a New Website

The University Web Team creates new subsites for University programs and departments as needed. Before requesting a new site, consider how much content you'll have, who will manage and maintain it, and whether the content might fit better within an existing department site.

For department, program, or office sites under the unca.edu domain. Submit a Web Ticket detailing your request. The Web Team may request a meeting with you to learn more about your project.

Request a New Site

Faculty, staff, and students may request sites for course assignments, research projects, or creative portfolios through CampusPress (formerly WordPress) at wp.unca.edu. For assistance, submit a ticket through the IT ServiceDesk portal at servicedesk.unca.edu.

Please note that personal CampusPress sites may not represent or replicate official University web presence, and may not be used to promote programs, classes, events, or departments. If you need a page for any of those purposes, submit a web edit request form. Sites found in violation of these terms may be removed.

Ongoing Support

Already have access but want a refresher on WordPress or accessibility best practices? Submit a Web Ticket and the Web Team will be in touch.

If your site needs edits but you don’t know who to contact, or if you’d like to request updates to your department’s content on the core University site, please Submit a Web Ticket.

Need help making your content accessible — images, PDFs, documents? We can point you to resources and review materials upon request. Please email webmaster@unca.edu to get started.
