Public Peer List

For all UNC System schools, the UNC Board of Governors regularly approves a list of higher education peers against which individual institutions may measure and benchmark their performance. These peers often serve as the basis of analysis for outcomes assessment on areas such as student retention rates, graduation rates, degree production, research productivity, and other relevant metrics, particularly those associated with the UNC System Strategic Plan. The current peer set will be valid for a five-year period, from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2030.
